After a longer period of silence and two previously released albums, Reakton’s machinery has now been reactivated. With their third work, aptly titled clip:clap:club, the band remains true to its musical line and once again engraves its stamp deeper into the history books of electronic music – robotronic music in the tradition of Kraftwerk & Co.
The complete album in CD format contains twelve tracks, functioning both in the home lounge under headphones and on the dance floors of clubs. The songs address themes of today’s world: for example, “Zenobit” with the line never trust a robot, which can be understood as a wake-up call for more mindful interaction with AI. The final track “Goot” in some ears may sound like a homage to DAF, but essentially holds up a mirror to the times with the lyrics “Alles ist gut” (“Everything is good”), “Alles wird gut” (“Everything will be good”), and “Alles war gut” (“Everything was good”). The question lies therein: Where do we stand right now?
As the label Electro Shock Records, we are on the verge of releasing another breathtaking album by Reakton with the internal catalogue number E-Shock-CD 026 – closing out the year 2026.
