Press Info:
So, you thought you were sick of MUSICK? It gets worse: LAIBACH have just announced details of a companion piece to their recent album, out on 20 November 2026. MUSICK : ENCORE features previously unreleased material from original MUSICK sessions alongside brand new remixes from the likes of SILVERWINGKILLER, Richard X, The Lincolnshire Poacher and PUNCHBAG.

The album launches today, showcasing two distinct sides of the album: a brand new track, ‘This Is The End’, featuring Slovenian singer and musician Kaja Skrbinšek, and a new remix of ‘Love Machine’, featuring Senidah, one of the most distinctive voices in Balkan music today, by labelmates PUNCHBAG, who bring their own brand of unfiltered punk and ecstatic pop to their remix.

These two new tracks amplify the original themes of MUSICK, described by Uncut as a “meditation on music itself” and by Classic Pop as “…a hyperreal reflection of the sound of now”.

MUSICK and the new companion piece are a collection of undeniably catchy pop that revels in hyper-driven post-modernity. “Perhaps these are the final moments when creating music purely for enjoyment still carries broader significance – before alien, generative intelligence outplays and outperforms us all,” say Laibach. “So, we seized the moment.”

Guests and remixers on the album each bring new aspects to the Laibach machine, and include Kaja Skrbinšek (who features on new track ‘This Is The End’) plus Slovene sensation Senidah, who adds her distinctive vocals to ‘Love Machine’ (appearing on two mixes, by Mute labelmates PUNCHBAG, and on UK renegade mixer The Lincolnshire Poacher’s version).

Elsewhere on the album, electropop producer Richard X co-produced several tracks and remixes ‘Resistencia’; Ghanian artist Wiyaala, the “Lioness of Africa”, who they first saw in an underground club in Ljubljana, features on two new versions of ‘Musick’, the Unsick Version and a remix by Balžalorsky). Long-time collaborator Donna Marina Mårtensson, features on new track ‘#US’ while Manca Trampuš, the frontwoman of the Slovenian indie band Koala Voice, features on new track ‘Modern Talking’; Bojan Cvjetićanin, from Joker Out, one of Slovenia’s most successful contemporary rock bands, who guests on ‘Faith No More’, while Gregor Strasbergar from the band MRFY, one of the most compelling alternative acts in Slovenia, guests on ‘Resistencia (Richard X Remix)’.

Laibach continue their MUSICK tour this autumn with dates throughout Europe and the UK, including a performance at Islington Assembly Hall, London, on 29 September. For tickets and further tour announcements, visit the band’s live page.
