We’re buzzing to welcome C-System to the label with a blistering five-track EP, The Resistance of the Chosen Ones. Hailing from Granada in southern Spain, José María Moreno Vega has been one of the region’s underground techno heroes for over two decades. There he has built an extensive catalogue alongside a formidable reputation for uncompromising, turbo-powered productions and live sets.

Analogue techno at full intensity dominates the A-side, showcasing the raw power that has defined C-System’s sound throughout his career. “Dark Logic” finds a perfect balance between hard 303-driven techno and euphoric melodic trance – a track that in another era could easily have been classified as hard trance. “Original Force” is a tense, grinding, loop-driven club track, drawing influence from the glory years of tough UK techno. Meanwhile, “Morph12” unleashes a pummelling EBM assault for fans of Thomas Heckmann, Al Ferox and more.

One of C-System’s most enduring tracks, “Poison” – originally released on Dirty Planet in 2008 – returns on the flip in newly remastered form, combining crushing broken beats with chiming bells to devastating effect. Closing the EP, José steps into his electro guise as Spectrums Data Forces, blending brooding bass, intricate rhythmic percussion and an uplifting synth motif into a masterful finale.
