L-Shape sculpts vast walls of sound that crash and fracture into caustic glitches, textures and rapid-fire assaults of polyrhythmic percussion. The sonic palette is expansive, transcendent, isolationist, ecstatic and utterly devastating in its savage beauty, a soundtrack for the end of the world.
Formed in the UK in 2016 L-Shape is the experimental electronic project. of David Hartmann who describes his sonic signature as Violent Sound / Beautiful Noise.
The second release from L-Shape; Swarm, is a collection of pieces that seek to showcase the cinematic sound worlds within the artists mind. Manipulating samples and electronic frequencies beyond recognition, and repurposing sound elements to create a rich “Texturescape” to inform his composition techniques. Continually striving to bend sound realities and sonic manipulation, L-Shape presents. Swarm.
