Combine Audio is a Barcelona based imprint launched by Paula Cazenave in 2017 that has featured music from Ben Sims, Ken Ishii, Gayle San, Patrik Skoog, and [ Wex 10 ].
The latest EP welcomes Japanese pioneer DJ Shufflemaster for the first time, who is known for works released on Tresor, Ben Sims’ Theory Recordings, Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control, and Molecular Recordings amongst others.
Also on the EP is a remix from label boss Paula Cazenave who is a regular DJ at many clubs around Spain plus other parts of Europe, and her productions have also been turning heads following releases on labels ranging from Different is Different to Rotterdam based Patterns.
“Esplendor” comes as a dual take, with the original concentrating on additional, angular modular riffs, where the Definicion Mix has a slightly straighter groove and a more stripped back sound.
Paula Cazenave’s remix adds more punch with a chunky drive, while injecting energy and manifesting a club ready makeover.
