About the concept:
Here is the seventhy-third instalment of our series “abc plays xyz”.
The idea behind it is to ask some DJs/mixing artists if they have an artist or label in mind that they love and would like to use for a mix.
So the approach of each mix is clear: the choosen DJ/mixing artist makes a selection of tracks produced by one artist (and her/his monikers) or released on a label (and its sublabels) and creates a nice mix from it.

About Bonzai:
Bonzai Records, also known as Bonzai Music or Bonzai Progressive, is a Belgium-based record label specializing in techno, trance, hard trance, rave music and hardcore music.
It was formed by DJ Fly in the back of record-shop The Blitz in Belgium in 1992 as a sublabel to Lightning Records, which went bankrupt in March of 2003 and was subsequently replaced by the Banshee Worx label. Since its renewal in 2003, the label has released records under “Bonzai Progressive”, however the ‘Bonzai Records’ catalog numbering continues.

Bonzai Records – Back in the 90s this label stood out in the electronic music scene through their lenghty, somewhat spheric breaks and novel melody structure which have inspired me as a young man and DJ a great deal at that time.
This podcast ist to acknowledge Bonzai’s musical beginnings.
I’d still count a lot of these tracks my all-time favourites.
