About the concept:
Here is the seventhy-second instalment of our series “abc plays xyz”.
The idea behind it is to ask some DJs/mixing artists if they have an artist or label in mind that they love and would like to use for a mix.
So the approach of each mix is clear: the choosen DJ/mixing artist makes a selection of tracks produced by one artist (and her/his monikers) or released on a label (and its sublabels) and creates a nice mix from it.

About Johannes Schuster:
Johannes Schuster is a 24 year old DJ and producer from Cologne. He is part of the Fundament crew and also resident DJ of the 303 which is hosted at Artheater Cologne.
He started Djing with the age of 15 and is into Techno since 2012.
About Self Reflektion:
Somewhere deep down the industrial port of Rotterdam, young techno imprint “Self Reflektion” started transmitting its first signals in 2014. With the widely supported first releases from the label-owner ‘stranger’ and upcoming releases from the likes of ‘Herman Gonzalez’ and ‘Remco Beekwilder’, the imprint is setting course to become a stable platform releasing proper techno music by (upcoming) artists.

Johannes Schuster About His Choice:
I have chosen the lable Self Reflektion because almost all of the productions are highly rave able and they have a touch of old school 90s vibe. When i discovered the lable in the recordstore and istened to the first records i was really impressed because of the unique energetic sound of the dutch label. I really like these breakbeat and hoover sounds which are often in the tracks. Beside that colorful productions i am a big fan of stranger (who own the lable) which is in my opinion one of the most talented djs and producer out there.
