Berlin-based imprint Lemon Test returns with its second release featuring four subterranean dub techno cuts from British producer K.
Following on from their popular podcast series which has featured artists likes John Osborn, the versatile imprint prepares for its second release. After the label’s inaugural release, Club Mayz’s scintillating synth driven ‘Tristique’ EP, the label switches up the aesthetic with four murky original tracks from K entitled ‘Aimless’ EP, demonstrating the label’s commitment to diversity in genres.
‘Aimless’ is a gentle cut with the inclusion of lo-fi drums, a subtle modulated bass and the occasional crunchy synth before ‘Create Destroy’ delivers a thundering kick drum, 303 lines and underpinning pads with a dark timbre. Continuing with the dramatic feel, ‘Silk’ utilizes plucky, delayed effects and suspenseful, ethereal atmospherics that build tension as ‘Unto’ rounds off with an enigmatic cut using an amalgamation of off-kilter leads alongside a rumbling sub and choral pads, generating an otherworldly ambience.
