Out of the darkness there comes light. What began in the underground breaks the surface. The new label SUBJECTED SYSTEMS gives shape to what flourished below.

The artist behind is DJ and VAULT SERIES label head SUBJECTED. Launched in 2010, VAULT SERIES is the lovechild of the Berlin underground dance scene. From its inception, the label was all about curating the type of music. SUBJECTED values independently from the mainstream electronic scene. Steeped in industrial and experimental techno, the label was fundamentally built to serve SUBJECTED´s Berlin peers, providing them with an outlet for darker, alternative sounds. While VAULT SERIES thrives in the underground, SUBJECTED SYSTEMS will act as its counterpart, serving a wider more international audience. The new project provides an opportunity to work with the artists SUBJECTED has met performing around the world without sacrificing the personal touch and dedication to the roots of techno.

The new aesthetic is clean, structured, letting the music speak to an audience based on its own merits. SUBJECTED SYSTEMS keeps its ties to the underground scene that gave birth to it but signals its occupation of a different realm than its predecessor inverting the black-dominated color scheme of the underground scene in favor of a predominantly white one.

The first release on the label will be a four-track EP from ANDREJKO & SUBJECTED entitled “Format”. Expect more of the techno you already love from SUBJECTED, taken to even higher levels and greater breadths under the scope of the new label.
