The idea of swinging a new born gently into the good night in your arms was the main starting point for the four track EP. A diverse process with many ups and downs but a constant steady pulse.
As the name suggests, Protokoll developed as an outfit to document various musical developments over time, never with the aim of releasing something but just for the sake of having the outlet as a catalyst for the music. After almost two decades of working in one way or another with music, techno is still the main driving force. It still is such a great feeling when you listen to it and bring yourself into another state of consciousness, especially when you are in the dark womb of a club with your eyes closed and get carried away on that one constant, the swinging bass drum.
With some evolving loop based sections and the more narrative tracks the Lantau EP throbs right there.
