An ode to the woman who saved me:

I started making music with a professional career in mind in 2014. I met my girlfriend around end 2013 when I was at an impasse in my life in which I was left stranded not knowing what to do with myself.

She saw potential and offered me a once in a lifetime chance by making it possible for me to focus on music 100% while not asking anything in return. After three years and a lot of waiting for the record plant to deliver my records, what you hold in your hands has finally arrived.

Now the label, Reduktion, which we founded together in 2014 has truly come to life. This label is meant mostly as a creative outlet for my own work.

The studio, the instruments, the record, the countless amount of support and love and time were all made possible by my dear Pipaluk Weinhold Andersen.

I am a lucky man. So here is to the next releases and years of intense focus as I make as much out of this very fortunate situation as possible.

As for the record itself, it was mastered in Berlin by CGB at Dubplates & Mastering on the 24th of August 2016. The recordings are from 2015, which also posed a very difficult time for me personally. My old studio, a garden shed, broke down from very heavy rain.

Flut in German means flood and stands as a metaphor for this entire episode of me losing my old studio, almost my entire equipment and marks the end of an era. Furthermore, pressing plant delays and communication issues pushed this release further away but that did not matter since this was no race. The record is here now and I hope you will enjoy it.

Lastly I want to thank all who are there for me, give me heads up and listen to my music. This includes you. It means the world to me. The future looks bright. There will be music.
