Mnemony is a record label and an art space that seeks an alternative approach to the tried-and-true club format by connecting experimental electronic music with visual art and dance ritual. We offer a platform for artists to cross-pollinate and operate outside the demands of single-genre club night monotony. Our aim is to break the wall of isolated listening and engage the individual in a deeper, connective musical and visual experience that animates the mind and body.
Berlin’s techno duo Orbital Plane lays the cornerstone for an ambitious new year with their first EP Alterations. The release features 6 carefully arranged tracks with a strong focus on the dance floor.
Chronos’ noisy drones set the mood for a 45-minute journey through meditative beats and soundscapes. Dilation ties in, developing this noise into timeless harmony. Reprise raises the energy with a forward going baseline, triggering trippy pitch-bended melodies in repetition. Four expands this thought with percussive arpeggios and stamping bassdrum. Dark but light, playful but organised Ergodicity sums up the EP’s experiments. Coniunctio completes the journey in a dreamy atmosphere, melodically developing into a higher state, and underlining the theme of the EP: to discover the perfection of beauty in time. more soon
