It’s time to kill your boredom. Whether or not this is your target or not, tonight’s influx of Killekill will determine the intent and its implementation. With an artistic edge tonight bespeckled and illuminated by The29nov Films [forever], it’s a true happening. The29nov Films founders Kevin Paschold and Sebastian Kökow have paired their video editing skills with the work of hundreds of electronic music producers over the past few years, usually piecing together cuts from classic films and advertising and applying them to techno (or sometimes house) tracks. DJ Flush is the main man behind Killekill and has been a DJ for 15 years now playing more or less all Berlin clubs as well as internationally. Pushing the borders of electronic music, his mixes cross over from chicago jack and booty tracks to electro, from distorted no future techno sounds to rather minimal funk – dirty, freaky and often with a big drop of acid. The Snuff Crew has a house groove today that echoes perfectly the jacking source of the genre. When these guys with their black hoodies stand on the stage and deliver their all-but-authentic sound from their PA to the dancefloor, you can’t help but think that you’ve been transported to the house catacombes of Chicago! Yet these frontrunners are very much from Germany and proved their worth with their own Snuff Trax label. Producing music for more than a decade, Vienna’s Tin Man is the named master of the neo acid scene and continues to evolve and invigorate with each and every release. The California-born artist has six albums already released and is also part of The Acid Symphony Orchestra (a live super group that features artists playing on ten 303, 707 and 808), turning out a standalone neo-classical and ambient work, Vienna Blue, which proves he does so much more than pure dancing music. The mysterious ladylike lifeform known as Alienata has dedicated herself to learning & analyzing sound in all of its forms as well as joining forces on Traxx’s label Nation. Moving through Spain, Italy and Montreal, Alienata makes her home in Berlin for now. In the basement Tresor Floor two mighty heroes of modern techno await you: American artist Bill Youngman‘s “Electrostep” 1996 release on Serotonin Records stands as a testament to one man’s love of electro beats. Cutting, splicing and rearranging beats, he crafted an idealized rendition of electronica, much as Drum and Bass producers did with funk breaks. “Electrostep II” followed a year later, further developing the idea. After moving to Berlin in 20011, today Youngman presents his high-energy act worldwide, performing in front of audiences ready for an artist who will truly engage them. Dropping beats like bombs and weaving tsunamis of synth lines, he tops off his abstract and off-kilter techno sounds with authentic NYC hip hop elements: beat-boxing, freestyling and hyping up the crowd on the mic – thrilling! Neil Landstrumm is one of our club’s most loved artists: the Scotland-born DJ and producer is the epitomy of the adjective chameleon, creating a spectrum of electronic from bleepy, wonky techno to hip-hop, bassy dupstep and even reggae-influenced sounds. Irish import and Killekill artist Ian McDonnell aka Eomac also provides a live set of exciting and diverse sounds designs for the 22nd century; The 29Nov Films‘ co-founder Sebastian Kökow shares the basement decks as well as Irakli Kiziria Yacoub Chakarji aka I/Y‘s “machine sounds for sensible minds”. A KILLER NIGHT!!

Vor genau acht Jahren begab es sich, dass sich zwei Jungdesigner aka “the29nov films” der Videoflaute im Techno entgegenstemmten. Kurze Zeit später bemerkte die zeigeistverfolgende Szene-Internationale, wie das mysteriöse Grüppchen in unglaublichem Tempo DIY-Videos zu ihren Lieblingstracks schraubte und sie ins Netz lud. Die mit einfachsten Mitteln geschnittenen Kurzfilme bedienten sich dabei komplett aus dem unendlichen Fundus urheberrechtsbefreiten Materials. Die zwischen Träumchen und Horror pendelnde Trippyness der loop-lastigen Kollagen, die Geschmackssicherheit der Trackauswahl und die sympathische Straightness in Sachen Produktionstechnik ließen the29nov films schnell zu Szenefavoriten werden. Ein the29nov-Video wurde zum global wahrgenommenen Kudo. Das Berliner Label Killekill, mit seinem Faible für breit grinsende, garstig industrielle Acidelektro-Monstrositäten ebenfalls stark dem Punkethos verbunden, erkannte in den beiden den perfekten visuellen Gegenpart zum Labelentwurf und lässt seither regelmäßig zu ihren neuen Releases the29nov Filme produzieren. Die beiden tun sich an diesem 29. November, dem achten Geburtstag des Projektes, in unseren Hallen zusammen, um gemeinsam 4.000(!) Videos und acht Jahre bedingungslose Liebe zur Musik zu feiern – mit einem Line-Up, das keine Fragen offen lässt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
