After last year’s empowering ‘Nuclear Rawmance’ longplayer, Berlin’s Savas Pascalidis is back with his next 4 track EP on Sweatshop.
Lead track ‘Sensory Perception’ is a tough, analog affair – the sort that we’ve come to expect from the experienced producer – full of straight up 909 drums, squelching synth lines and a warm rounded bass end.
‘Low End Experience’ really is just that – a heavy workout that launches quickly into biting drums and big room techno attitudes. Rolling, flowing, expanding, peaking and finally contracting!
The detroitian tones of ‘Urania Denoise’ lead into totally hypnotic zones as Pascalidis shows off his skills at taking a snapshot of the perfect club loop and then running with it, letting the drums do the work.
Once again contrasting but still fitting within the heady, acidic zones of the producer’s mature sound, ‘Procust’ bends and jacks around a gyrating main synth line that leads the listener into a real cosmic voyage.
