Straight out of the city of fury, Mekas arrives on Latin American label Insurgentes for a fifth chapter that will take us through an utopic journey of resurrection and inmortality. The Buenos Aires artist and Aula Magna Records affiliate has resurfaced once again to present Chaosmos, a four-track EP of peaceful and chaotic electronic ambient excursions.
The title track enters the cosmic void, letting the euphoric chords and electrifying breaks mark the course. “Tension Lines” provides a nice dose of soothing ambiance, a pleasant quietude in the middle of the unknown. Throughout it’s B-side, Mekas continues the voyage with two functional pieces that will resonate along this unearthly plane. The message has been sent: this is sonic hustle from the south.
