Space – continuously evolving and growing. Experiencing it has been described as transcendently magical, deeply prosaic and disturbingly noisy. Once out there, there is no way to anticipate the emotional impact of looking down at Earth.
Simo Lorenz first Vinyl on COT digs very deep into space inspired sound frames.
„A1 – Space Program“ is dominated by its hypnotic and groovy bassline and ethereal distorted vocal transmissions, while „A2 – Heliosphere” is a stripped down flow of punching particles.
Flug’s Interpretation commands attention through its detailed drum work and a tasteful reduction of the source material. Contrasting is HOURS’ Restructure, which is a dark, brooding and noisy take on the A-Side woven around a toolish structure.
„D1 – Ascent“ is an ambient retelling of a soaring climb through the atmosphere towards space. Finally “D2 – Lost in Orbit”, a massive stomper, rounds up the release with its driving rhythms and effective impact.

Im 15ten Jahr nach der Labelgründung können wir hier mit besonderen Stolz vermelden, dass wir nun zusammenarbeiten mit unseren schwedischen Synthie-Pop- Helden von *Elegant Machinery*.
Das letzte ofzielle Lebenszeichen in Form einer Single- oder Album CD jener Band ist dann auch schon fast wieder 10 x Jahre her und Mastermind Robert Enforsen arrangierte, produzierte und bespielte in der zurückliegenden Dekade Bühnen von Spanien, Deutschland, Russland, Sweden, Amerika, Mexiko bishin nach Peru.
Im vergangenen Herbst´2016 erschien ein erstes musikalisches Zeichen in Form der digitalen EP “I” auf dem schwedischen Label DecoySounds, hinter dem sich der neue Produzent der Band Jonas Kröjtz verbirgt! *Electro-Shock-Records* hat sich nun der EP “I” (One) angenommen und veröfentlicht diese 4-Track Single-/EP als CD-Edition in einer limitierten Aufage von nur 333 x Exemplaren, damit dürfte klar sein…dass sich diese CD rasant schnell zu einen Sammlerstück entwickeln wird!
Die vorliegende EP “I” ist nur der erste Teil einer Veröfentlichungs-Trilogie der Band *Elegant Machinery*, die nun aus Leslie Bayne und Robert Enforsen besteht! Die 4 neuen Songs haben textlich gesehen einen autobiographischen Charakter, mit “I say”. gibt uns Robert Enforsen wirklich mit auf den Weg “was er zu sagen hat”, bei “Shut up (and take my money)” kann man erahnen (s)eine Berg- & Talfahrt des täglichen Lebens, bei “Wheels in motion” dass die Räder der Zeit nicht stehen bleiben und letztendlich mit dem Ausblick in die Zukunft bei “Future Breakup” ein würdiges Finale fnden auf dieser EP.
Jede der 3 x EP´s enthält jeweils 4 x neue Songs und auch das futuristisch anmutende Coverartwork zeigt gar richtungsweisend auf welche Bedeutung die Band dieser 3-fach gekoppelten Veröfentlichungsreihe zumisst…wir als Label können das Design nur mit den Worten umschreiben “wie Phoenix aus der Asche” & erhofen uns das die Band mit den anstehenden CDs an alte Erfolge anknüpfen kann! Das Coverartwork hat im übrigen sein alter Hype-Band-Kollege David Elg erstellt.

About Barrel
Around 2009, Barrel bought his first DJ program and teached the mixing himself. A short time later the first vinyls followed. Starting with Minimal to Deep Techno, he has found his very big love – “Techno”.
With his friend Visum he started the project Barrum and brought out titles like ‘ADSA’ and ‘La Superficie’ on the label MODUL.
In the past he had some gigs, but only through his joining at MODUL in the beginning of 2015, he got the opportunity to play gigs in Sweden, Belgium and Switzerland, for his international experience.
Also he could gain some festival experience at the Feel Festival and for sure he played in his hometown Berlin in clubs like the Humboldthain,the ARENA Club, in the Magdalena and intheTresor.
In 2016 he began producing his own tracks. In this time he recorded also podcasts for’Incubation’, ‘Culturalis’ and ‘TechnoihrFotzen’.
His first Solo track ‘Arystocat’ has been released at the compilation MOD010 on MODUL which came in the mid of July’16.
His sound is inspired by the harder, percussive styles of the late 90’s techno with some Acid and Trance influences.
And now, his first EP ‘Breathe of Tokyo’ will be out soon on the label ParadoxalRecords.
About Paradoxal Records
Created in 2014, Paradoxal Records is the product of a meeting between Candeed and Joon Feulster. DJ and producers, they wanted to gather various artists with good vibes, minimalist and underground inspiration with creativity into the same project. In 2016 One Ear reaches the management team.
About Breath Of Tokyo EP
Simon Hauert aka Barrel, young talented german artist has signed a deep and absolutely rich EP on Paradoxal Records. Dark but accessibly musical atmosphere, dissonant tones but still perfectly pleasant to listen to, simple though effective basslines, synthetizers echoing as in a street by night, typical sound of an elaborated and controlled inspiration, all those characteristics define as well Breath Of Tokyo EP as the common artistic signature for all the artists gathered within the label.
