Paàl is passionate about hardware – analog drum machines, synths and pedals are tracked through a mixing desk, raw and unedited. Imperfections intrinsic to this process are essential to him and give his sound a unique character – warm, organic and, at times, lo-fi and grainy. This can be heard throughout the EP. The VOI 011 also marks a shift in cover artwork as Voitax departs from the utilitarian, hand-stamped labels of the first releases – German photographer Nina Roders, has conceptualised a series of her unique photographs for the forthcoming ten-part EP series.

With VOITAX X, we are entering a new era. This triple 12-inch marks a shift from the existing releases, by unveiling the artists who have contributed to the label to this day. This release, our 10th, premieres a full-size cover artwork – “Phanon”, a drawing by Rosmarie Barbara Weinlich. Rosmarie is a respected artist and good friend of the label. Her work has received global recognition and has seen her exhibiting in Germany, Israel, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Poland and the USA. We invited our friends, both new and old, to find meaning within this complex work and create their own interpretations of it for this compilation. The resulting entries were then carefully selected to showcase the breadth and depth of our sound, and to give the listener a deep and immersive journey. The resulting tracks, spanning three vinyls, showcase the breadth of the Voitax sound – bleak, industrial soundscapes, tripped-out acid and new wave excursions, obliterated dub, and abrasive, off-kilter techno all feature. This is a record that will be equally at home on a turntable in your living room as it will be booming out beneath a veil of smoke and strobe light.
Since the very beginnings of Voitax, we strived to build a platform that is not only for music but for all kinds of art. We want to create a place where like-minded artists can express their ideas without any restrictions. Today, this platform has become not only an established collective, but also a circle of close friends. We hope you enjoy this special release as much as we enjoyed making it.

VOITAX returns with the label’s ninth release – four cuts of stark, futuristic techno. Bringing together throbbing, hard-edged funk and tripped-out sound design, “run your mouth” is both a unique, and timeless take on the industrial techno sound, and one that is guaranteed to decimate the floor.

While listeners are still reeling from the blistering EBM stylings of their previous release, Voitax returns to serve up a divergent dose of grimey, industrial-edged broken beats with the label’s eight release “Hymn To Lust”. Persistent in their disregard for showboating, the crew continues to stick to their music-before-names policy. No names are visible on the record, for an unbiased impression of the sound. Lo-fi, energetic and crammed with attitude, it combines a dusty, 90’s Berlin punk aesthetic with primal tribal impulses. When the sweat is dripping off the ceiling, and the floor is filled with smoke and bodies, this EP will cut right through and set the place off.

The Voitax label project enters a new level with this cinematic three track EP by an upcoming producer every electronic enthusiast should keep an eye on. The seventh release features noisy grinding patterns cut up with well mangled movie quotes which find their climax in rough EBEM influenced breaks.
The release is limited to 300 vinyl exclusive copies and comes in a white papersleeve. The first 50 copies include a stamped cardboard cover and a photographic black and white print unveiling the artist.
