Press Info:
Rekids regular Markus Suckut drops his third album entitled ‘Heaven Is A State Of Mind’ this September.

“This album is dedicated to my mother – I will always carry you with me to show you the world. See you again in a better place.”

When not helming his own imprints, SCKT and Pattern Research, the Düsseldorf artist has been releasing on Rekids since 2015 and is now a core member of the label’s family. Earlier this year saw the arrival of ‘New Life EP’, a mesmerising release exemplary of the producer’s knack for making imaginative house and techno complete with a compelling groove. No stranger to the long player format having released two albums previously, Markus Suckut returns to Radio Slave’s label with a quality eleven track album.

From the word go Suckut’s album demonstrates his versatility as a musician, initiating with a beatless intro named ‘Escape’, before ‘Breeze’ comes into play with its skipping percussion and loopy atmospherics. Crunchy snares and crystalline synths make up ‘Sun’s Out’ whilst ‘Future Is Not Always Bright’ drives forward with its sultry low-end, ethereal pads and sci-fi bleeps, leading into ‘Take A Break’ and its medley of elaborate drums, living up to its name.

‘Above The Clouds’ is comprised of intricate notes and soothing chords whilst the machinelike ‘Orchid’ features electro inspired melodies, contrasting to the album’s title track, ‘Heaven Is A State Of Mind’, with its bumpy bass and warping textures. ‘Wonderland (Version)’ is a ghostly acid cut, moving into the syncopated and ominous ‘We Will All Disappear One Day’ and its purring bassline until a moody two-step number entitled ‘Death Is Not Final’ ties it all together with twisted sequences and trippy effects.

Press Info:
Time To Express’ SP-X joins Rekids Special Projects with four punishing techno cuts this September.

Little is known about mysterious producer SP-X. After a string of quality releases on Komisch, Time To Express, and PROJEKTS, the Brussels-based artist has garnered a strong following for his rolling techno sound. The enigmatic producer now joins Matt Edwards’ Rekids Special Projects roster, following on from releases by DJ Spider, Jon Hester, DJ Deep, FBK and Dustin Zahn among others.

An amalgamation of metallic hits, powerful drums and plucky arpeggios commence the package in ‘Dystopian Lotus’ before the fast paced ‘Breaths Of Separation’ offers a rumbling low-end, frenzied atmospherics and cosmic chords.

‘The Orbiter’ delivers distorted top lines and a thundering kick on the flip, backed by mysterious sirens and resonant synth blips until the package rounds off with ‘Desire Of Invisibility’, a high-octane finish with sharp, organic percussion and a vacillating sub alongside stereo delayed stabs.

Press Info:
E-Missions co-founder P.Leone returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids this September with ‘The My Lita Project’ backed with remixes from Mark Broom.

Originally hailing from New York, P.Leone now resides in Berlin where he helms his E-Missions imprint with releases from himself and co-founder Caiazzo, exciting new artists like Rush Plus and Tred, not to mention remixes from Young Male, Spencer Parker and Lawrence Lee. Leone has also dropped a variety of releases on Rekids and Work Them Records, when not making regular appearances at clubs like Tresorand ://about blank. He now returns to Radio Slave’s respected imprint with ‘The My Lita Project’, following up his highly lauded ‘El Dorado’ EP that garnered support from Ben Sims, Jackmaster and Spencer Parker.

‘My Lita’ kicks things off with classic synths, piercing strings and choppy vocals slices whilst robust drums march forward. Meanwhile, ‘Tight In The Pocket’ is more dark and menacing in comparison with its syncopated percussion, echoing claps and ethereal atmospherics.

On the flip, Mark Broom drops two different remixes of ‘My Lita’; the first is a robust cut complete with disco elements like funky guitar licks and soulful voice, with the original’s stabs shining throughout, whilst the second remix takes a different route with its crunchy snares, moaning murmurs and fuzzy effects.

Press Info:
American producer Dustin Zahn readies the next release on Rekids Special Projects this April with four vigorous cuts entitled ‘Take The Throne’.

Dustin Zahn has been flying the techno flag for two decades, releasing on labels like Rekids when not helming the Berlin-based Enemy Records, a label which has released music from artists like fellow US techno stalwart Ambivalent, ARTS boss Emmanuel, and Innervisions’ producer Yotam Avni. Zahn is also respected for Train Wrecks, his weekly podcast series inviting members of the house and techno community to discuss a wide variety of music and industry related topics and stories.

The release opens with the thumping kicks and sci-fi melodies of ‘Take The Throne’ before rolling into the dubby tones, infectious claps and rattling white noise of ‘Decorum’. The atmospheric ‘Nameless Midnight’ then follows, packed with echoing synths, tantalising effects and a twisted vocal sample that weaves throughout, arriving at the final track ‘Subtle Flex’ where escalating synths meet syncopated percussion.

Press Info:
New York’s P.Leone debuts on Rekids Special Projects with four vinyl-only techno cuts this February.

Debuting on Spencer Parker’s Work Them Records in 2016, P.Leone has since launched his own imprint entitled E-Missions alongside label partner Caiazzo. Moving to Berlin last year, the American producer has quickly earned himself a name within the German capital, making regular appearances at the likes of Tresor and ://about blank, and now joining respected Berlin-based label Rekids as part of their vinyl-only series.

Metallic echoes, robust kicks and breakbeat percussion lay the foundation for ‘Rose Petal Breaks’, before ‘Noon Service’ demonstrates crystalline synths and futuristic effects. On the flip, thudding drums and energetic claps form ‘Hold Me Down’ until the ominous ‘Sometimes I Feel Strong’ concludes the package with rattling components and a cacophony of intricacies.

P.Leone ‘Chances We Take EP’ drops on Rekids Special Projects on 16th February 2018.
