The last part of the dancer’s trilogy: With Border One’s ‘Throw’ Ressort Imprint closes it’s triplette on the definition of modern Techno’s different sound colours. And it’s getting more and more playful.

Border One might be a new name popping up here and there recently but the young Belgian DJ and producer is by no means a newbie to the scene. Knowing that it is no wonder that his debut on Ressort Imprint sounds very sophisticated and mature as his three original drafts show a very classical illustration about his passion for Techno music.

The title track ‘Throw’ starts of with a playful yet unobtrusive melody and shows the Ghent-based producer’s ability for shifting moods with very subtile yet effective measures. ‘Morphosis’, on the other hand, gives a real club momentum while ‘Tube’ is succeeding with topping itself bar by bar. All of this is rounded up by a big room take from one of our favourites, being Thomas Hessler.

It is save to say: We will hear a lot about Border One in the future.

Lanthan Audio is back after their debut EP that featured Edit-Select now with their sophomore release from Deepbass, Scottish DJ, producer and label owner of Informa Records.

For this EP Deepbass delivers one original cut, ‘Alto’ which has been remixed by Aegis, Reggy van Oers and Ness. Uniform to the Deepbass style, ‘Alto’ is an ethereal atmospheric track with a punchy, rolling bass, which takes you on a voyage through the cosmos. Aegis, on the other hand, takes the tracks potent bassline and adds the aura of breakbeat to the elegant atmospheres.

On the flip side RVO adds a hypnotic energy to the track as the elements continue to build to the crowning point letting you down nice and smooth. For the final take Ness adds his own style as the punchy bass lingers he is still able to keep the mood serene and delicate. All in all a captivating way for each artist to express their own style on one EP.

Lanthan.audio, the newest label from Abstract’s Christian Gerlach, will release its debut EP as a special edition this July featuring an original mix from UK’s Edit Select and spotlights remixes from two hypnotic troopers, Claudio PRC and Mike Parker. Lanthan, literally, is a rare earth metal in addition to something hidden or evasive in terms of Greek mythology. By combining music with both architecture and photography the goal is to not lose sight of all three art forms. Born out of the desire to deliver a diverse package, the label will feature innovative, indestructible, and powerful remixes from some of his most respected producers.

Edit Select’s ‘Hi Line Extraction’ is an irresistibly fervent track with a throbbing bass, a savage synth and stomping hi-hats, driving and mysterious sending you into a reverie. Characteristic of Mike Parker’s technique, riffs with plenty of flange transform the track into a mesmerizing piece. Claudio PRC on the other hand gives the track a whole new orientation and mood by elongating some of the authentic and crucial elements from original into swirling atmospheric tempers. There will be a lot more to come for Lanthan.audio, with their debut EP featuring such compelling artists and resonant tracks this will be a label to watch in the coming months.
