Press Info:
Ben Gibson and Fundamental Interaction return to their collaborative project entitled Dyad with four dark and uncompromising techno productions this December.

Individually Ben Gibson is known for releases on Perc Trax and Axis, whilst Fundamental Interaction, real name Mark Asbrey, is known for appearances on MM Audio and CLFT. Together they launched Dyad in 2014, the joint production project and label that quickly earned support from the upper echelons of techno, such as Ben Sims, Len Faki and DVS-1. Since then they’ve gone on to release music on Don’t Be Afraid and Tsunami, as well as launch a secondary imprint for like-minded artists called Common Purpose Series. They now return to the Dyad label with four more brutal cuts.

A collection of slowly pulsing drones and haunting atmospheres evolve to make ‘Akhoe (Version)’ an intriguing opener to the release whilst ‘Akhoe’ follows up with a pounding kick, rolling hi hats and rim shots which add a dancefloor context to the hypnotic ambiences.

‘Tacenda’ entices the listener with a mesmerising synth riff that expands over the course of the track as the filter opens and more layers are subtly revealed during a relentless percussive composition. ‘Structural Response’ has an entrancing, progressive hook laid over synthesised polyrhythms clouded with ethereal overtones bringing an exciting close to the release.

Rebar, the duo behind the “made of CONCRETE” label kick off their self titled label.

“Rebar” is meant as a space for the artists’ own sound explorations, aimed at putting forth releases which combines their usual style with cross-boundary composition. “Rebar” releases are limited to vinyl only appearances.

“Rebar #1” sees a versatile three piece assortment with a seemingly common theme. Field recordings make ample appearances in Rebar’s work and this release makes no exception: a large part of the elements were recorded in and around train stations of a famous metropolis.

Press Info:
Following 11 hotly tipped EPs, Format now delivers its first compilation release, packed to the brim with bomb cuts from both veterans as new faces.

This first Format compilation is a prime example of the label’s signature sound. Featuring an impressive variety of musical perspectives, it’s a mint snapshot of Format’s ever adventurous view on techno.

Format lays down an impressive array of minimal-tinged and powerful dance floor techno laced with depth and atmosphere. There’s quite a lot to enjoy here to say the least; a very special appearance is made by legendary NY-producer Mike Parker, whose off-beat ‘Necklace Dancer’ perfectly reflects Format’s penchant for abstract techno. It nestles well among chunky four-to-the-floor material from various trusted label associates: ROD delivers a raw house-flavored banger on ‘Acine’, while TWR72’s ‘EXP19’ explores techno’s darker territories. Label curator, Juan Sanchez, also steps up to the game with ‘Warthog’, a high-octane piece of fiery techno that captures the man’s highly anticipated sound. Topping off, new label signees such as Mark Groot and Optics deliver intense cuts that already make us look forward to more of their studio output.

Format V.A. will be released on two separate vinyl releases, followed by a digital release featuring all nine tracks. The first 200 vinyl releases will be made available in transparent vinyl.

The release features artwork by DEFRAME, and is based on the refraction of light. It is meant to represent the illusion of a tiny hypnotic multiverse, where each plane exists in a different time and space.

This is the second part of the vinyl edition.

Future Déjà Vu is a Berlin based techno label. Behind such paradoxical definition of time lies an elementary objective: the promotion of a functional sound, able to be immediately usable on a techno-floor. The immediacy of the sound becomes in turn paradox itself and its plainness turns into power.becomes in turn paradox itself and its plainness turns into power.
