Press Info:
A project 18-months in the making, Marcel Fengler presents IMF10, a three-part compilation series detailing the past, present and future of his label Index Marcel Fengler.

After a big period of change in the career of label head Marcel Fengler throughout 2016 that naturally involved IMF, it’s time to distill the label’s vision in sonic form. IMF10 is a collection of exclusive originals and remixes created by some of electronic music’s most skilled producers, alongside contributions from rising talents who are set to shape the direction of the label for years to come.

Split into three parts to be released throughout the first half of 2018, each volume consists of six tracks and encapsulates a different tone, highlighting not only the versatile sonic constellation of the label, but also the breadth Fengler enjoys exploring in his DJ sets.

Part one explores deeper and more hypnotic territory, as the legendary Alva Noto makes his debut for IMF re-working the Fengler classic ‘Sphinx’, alongside a new contribution from DIN, the lauded collaborative project between Fengler and Efdemin. Elsewhere close friends Matrixxman (in collaboration with rising producer Riccardo Limiti) and Lucy also join the compilation crafting powerful originals, alongside Scuba with a rework courtesy of his SCB project, plus a new track from exciting Slovenian talent Blaukoma who has impressed Fengler over time.

Separate features for Vinyl 2 & 3 and the digital edition see “related releases”.

Del Blau Al Groc I Viceversa

Press Info:
To continue the series, we provide an awesome line up again, made of well trained veterans like London based project 65D Mavericks, swedish duo SHXCXCHCXSH and Ex Continent.

65D Mavericks opens the second volume with The divine comedy. It’s an out of this world exercise, with weird vocal samples, broken beats, acid lines and hard textures. Rave meets experimental meets the future. Sure you have not hear a lot of tracks like this.

Following SHXCXCHCXSH, going alien with their experiment ggg. Harsh audio treatment, robotic grooves and risk.

Last cut del blau al groc i viceversa by Ex Continent mixes ambient and distorted grooves in different layers, exploring different sound moods all in one take.

A step ahead trendiness and standarts, futurism and risk as goal.

Tracklist:
01.
Where I Wait
(The Hacker Remix)

02.
Where I Wait
(The Hacker Dub Remix)

Press Info:
One of the undoubted highlights of the Null + Void long player ‘Cryosleep’ is the collaboration with Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan.

Null + Void is the project of Kurt Uenala, the Swiss born producer and multi-instrumentalist who has a long history of working with synth legends, and ‘Where I Wait’ further enhances that reputation.

Turning over remix duties to The Hacker – another long time collaborator with Depeche Mode and others, the French producer delivers a typically dark and driven take on the track. A mid paced groove unfolds with tightly programmed arpeggiated synths seemingly barely under control. Gahan’s iconic vocals float over the top, creating a powerful, poignant track.

Also included is a The Hacker’s Dub Remix, stripping back the vocals into a few dubbed out snippets and echoes, and focussing in on the tough groove, courtesy of the tight drums and thick, propulsive bass.

B2.
P.E.A.R.L.
Between Our Souls

Press Info:
In this first installment the focus is in intelligent dance numbers, starting with Bicknell’s Depth of perception, a rugged repetitive exercise that runs with all elements up from the beginning: rolling subs, sharp percussive elements and hidden bassdrums, no breakdowns, linear structure and tension all over.

Reeko provides a mimimalistic exercise on Ironic Death based on hypnotic synth lines, funked up beats and again a linear and non predictable arrangement aimed directly to the most risky dancefloors.

P.E.A.R.L. closes this wax with another precise tool, slow paced kicks, continuous dry bassline, sweeps and micro drones and drum elements coming in and out.

Three pieces aimed directly for the adventurous dj’s out there, no jokes, no easyness, just techno essence.
