Press Info:
Argentinian DJ/producer Flug returns to Radio Slaves’ Rekids Special Projects with ‘Move Around EP’ this November.
Following a previous outing on Rekids Special Projects with ‘Austral Frames’, as well as releases on Nina Kraviz’s Trip, UNCAGE, and Suara, the Existentia boss returns to Radio Slave’s techno-focussed imprint with four hard-hitting tracks across ‘Move Around EP’.
Lead track ‘Move Around’ bursts with character as energetic and crunchy drum work, booming low end, and tripped out vocal chops combine for a heavy-duty warehouse smasher. ‘Black Out’ sees the producer opt for a comparatively restrained approach, focussing on a handful of razor-sharp and deeply effective elements for a rattling, groove led techno jam.
‘Alloy Steel’ conjures up textured atmospherics and dense FX as tumbling kicks, metallic stabs, and crisp hats punch through the mix, before ‘Sinergy’ winds the energy down with doses of hypnotic synthesis and syncopated kick patterns, bringing the release to a woozy close.

Nether Region features seven tracks from different Cuban artists. Denoting an opaque hue and revealing the darker side of the dance floor.
Among these tracks we can find influences from EBM, Acid, industrial and atmospheric sounds. Each artist contributes their vision of what would be a dystopian hell under our feet.
Legend has it that the earth will be embraced by fire, horns and tridents once the fallen rise up and a hellish paradise will take place in what we once called home. It is better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven.

Press Info:
Chris Liebing has announced details of a new album, Another Day, set for release on Mute on 19 November 2021. The new album will be available on double clear vinyl and CD, both with a silver finish and 16-page booklet, as well as digitally.
Another Day – the follow up to his 2018 debut for Mute, Burn Slow – launches with ‘Whispers and Wires’ featuring Ladan (formerly known as Cold Specks) on vocals. On this new track, electronics simmer away gently, with Ladan’s vocals floating over before the two coalesce.
Another Day sees Liebing once again collaborating with an eclectic mix of artists, including several who were involved with Burn Slow. Miles Cooper Seaton, in one of his last performances following his sad and untimely passing earlier this year, and Polly Scattergood lend vocals to a track each, while Ralf Hildenbeutel returns to produce. Ladan (formerly known as Cold Specks), Tom Adams and Maria Uzor (Sink Ya Teeth) are new collaborators for Liebing.
“With this album, I wanted to take myself out of it as much as possible,” explains Chris Liebing. After three decades working dancefloors with pummelling techno, Chris Liebing has a formidable reputation as a DJ and is certainly comfortable with being in the spotlight, but for his solo work he has chosen a different avenue.
Liebing jokes that this is the result of him “getting lazy” but in reality, it’s more an exercise in intuition and spontaneity, allowing his musical experience – on and off the dance floor – to dictate the creative flow. “I’m a strong believer in letting the moment decide what’s happening,” he says. “If you’ve studied your set up and you know what you’re doing then you can let the moment take over because you’re not busy trying to figure out how things work.”
Despite Liebing very much directing and driving the shape, tone and essence of the album, he ultimately views it as one rooted in collaboration and one more contributor to the album is Mute’s Daniel Miller, “Daniel’s input was just incredible,” he says. “He brought his modular setup in our studio and he added this extra flavour.” This added element, combined with Hildenbeutel’s silky production skills, the eclectic presence of the guest vocalists and Liebing’s intuitive ear for compositions, results in something truly unique.
Liebing has begun work on reimagining the album for a club context and later this month, will premiere some of this music for the first time when he takes part in Beatport’s new three-part series Game Changers, in collaboration with Microsoft. A 90-minute DJ set will be broadcast from Teufelsberg, a decommissioned Cold War listening station, in West Berlin on 26 May, with a documentary to follow in early summer.
