An established presence on the US East Coast, Angel Attack returns to House of Reptile with his EP New Frontiers. Following instinct instead of trends, these tracks display the Boston-based artist’s leanings toward UK techno, electro, and experimental sounds. With the aim of empowering DJs worldwide with club-driven atmospherics, New Frontiers is sure to conjure transcendental wizardry on the dancefloor. The EP also marks Angel Attack’s pivot to producing live sets, soon to be revealed in the coming months.

“I’ve poured my decades of influences and experiences on the dancefloor, both in front and behind the decks, and filtered them through my soul,” says Angel Attack. “As a result, New Frontiers is a timeless collection that still feels fresh and contemporary for dancefloors in 2024.”

The opener ‘Delay Decay’, starts the EP on a determined note, signifying the next chapter in Angel Attack’s evolving artistry. Sonorous pads collide with gnarly drums and commanding vocals, coalescing in a hazy but unsettling club cut, aka Angel Attack’s crunchy take on Detroit techno..

On Blending emotional resonance with stinging claps, ‘Grounding’ is an all-out UK breaks meets electro peak-timer, programmed with complex off-beat drums and Angel Attack’s quintessential cinematic style.

‘Sharpening’ is a shadowy offering of whispery vocals and haunting atmospheres; a tune for a pitch-dark dancefloor, wisps of smoke, moody lighting, and heaving bodies.

Silent Moon’ goes deep into the raw techno subterranean. Pitched at 143 BPM, it’s the paciest track on New Frontiers, with galloping drums, creepy chords and a dystopian lead.

Closing out the EP ‘Vortex’ is an oddball amalgam of swooshing soundscapes, glitchy FX, and bleepy melodies. It’s an intricate tapestry of weird and wonk, teetering towards the edge of danger—an aesthetic that comes naturally in Angel Attack’s approach.
