STAUB is based on the belief that a certain form of techno is neglected. It is convicted in the omnipotence of the music, and the disinterested play of an artist. It does not lead to the destruction of another party mechanism nor to its substitution, but it can be a solution for the principal problems of life.

Edge Detection stands for a visual and auditory experience that is supposed to make you lose it like the ravers you know from the crazy Youtube videos of the 90s. But please leave your laddy attitudes at home. We hope that our party allows you to forget about your status quo torments for a while and rave like you would do at home unobserved when listening to your favorite track.

For this, we are looking for those particular ways of understanding Rave Culture, which instantiate a discontinuity in the mash of all these tedious and musically uncreative events where pick up games and disrespectful behavior are tolerated.

Also the leftwing nonprofit mailorder Black Mosquito lately had been coping with a proceeding due to a solidary Rojava poster and a break-in (perpetrator left several swastikas). Therefore the cash-balance needs to be compensated.

2017 war ein unglaublich produktives Jahr für Lars Huismann. Ganze 6 EPs sowie sein Debütalbum schlugen zu Buche und rückten ihn damit auf einen Schlag in den Blickwinkel einer ganzen Community. Die perkussive Kraft, die von Warehouse-Techno ausgeht, beeindruckte ihn bereits als jugendlicher Drummer nachhaltig und legte den Grundstein für seine DJ- und Produzententätigkeit innerhalb der elektronischen Musik. Von schwergewichtigen Industrial-Techno-Kicks zu vertrackten Breaks, die über schwerelose Synth-Pads wummern, bildet die Platte mit beeindruckender Vielschichtigkeit das Genre ab. Sein Track auf der im Januar erschienenen Future Sounds Compilation für das irische Label Gobsmacked zeigt, dass er dieses Jahr genauso weitermachen will, wo er letztes Jahr aufgehört hat.

Die Berliner Technoszene lebt von diversen aktiven Crews, die mit unaufhaltsamem Ideenreichtum den hiesigen Clubs ihren Stempel aufdrücken. Die auf diesen Partys im Vordergrund stehende familiäre Intimität unterliegt ferner einer Aufbruchstimmung, die sich stetig anschickt ihre Grenzen auszutesten und in neue Felder vorzustoßen. Kaczorek repräsentiert heute bei uns stellvertretend die Selected Crew. Deren kompromisslosen DJ-Sets stehen Tham und Dawid Dahl in nichts nach. DJ Krime und Armin von der Berliner Plattenladen-Institution Melting Point sorgen im Tent für den stilistischen Tapetenwechsel.

2017 was an incredibly productive year for Lars Huismann. Six EPs as well as his debut album hit the mark and put him in the eye of an entire community. The percussive power emanating from Warehouse-Techno impressed him already as a young drummer sustainable and laid the foundation for his DJ and producer activity within electronic music. From heavy-weight industrial-techno kicks to tricky breaks that bounce over weightless synth pads the album’s impressive multi-layered character sets the genre apart. His track on the upcoming Future Sounds compilation for the Irish label Gobsmacked in January shows that he wants to continue this year where he left off last year.

The Berlin techno scene thrives on various active crews who impress with unstoppable inventiveness the local clubs. The family intimacy which is at the forefront of these parties is also subject to a spirit of optimism, which is constantly preparing to test its limits and advance into new fields. Kaczorek represents the Selected Crew on our behalf.

Their uncompromising DJ sets are in no way inferior to Tham and Dawid Dahl.

DJ Krime and Armin from the Berlin based record shop institution Melting Point provide the Tent for the stylistic change of scenery.
