Press Info:
We are kicking off the label’s 20th anniversary with a new installment of our Etui Winter Camp. The compilation includes 11 tracks by new and old artists from all over Europe. Dresden based film sound artist Bony Stoev and Alex Tasso aka Submoon open the 4th edition of Etui Winter Camp with heart warming ambient tracks.

Echo expert Monomood dives deep into an ocean of chords with his “Fall” and label mind Insect O. takes you to the mystical “Forest Of The Monkeys”. After strolling around you find yourself lost in the soundscapes of El Choop’s “Narrow Pulse” and Infinitedub’s “Pulse Storm”. Bristol meets Malta. Not enough of chords? Screaming synths wake you up in Planetary Secret 90’s techno interpretation “Offshore Platform”. It’s time to move!

Alek S is no stranger to dub techno lovers around the world. His “Cream” sounds like dancing ice crystals. Leipzig based modular techno head Markus Masuhr experiments with hypnotizing drone sounds in his “Stages Of The Ocean” and Phil Baenz delivers some analog techno for the dancefloor with his “Isslag”. Finally made of CONCRETE label heads Rebar prove with their “Morning Routine” the best thing to do in a cold winter night is to dance your shoes off in the strobe lights of a techno club.

Founded by Oliver Hartmann (aka Insect O.) in 1998 Etui Records has been released 28 vinyl releases, 6 compilations and several digital only releases. In 2011 Etui started the new vinyl series Etui Low Tech Dub to focus on the deep and dubby side of techno and transfer it into an up-to-date audioframe.

Press Info:
SBIRE begins. The newly founded label is curated by Swiss artists Isolated Lines, known for his edgy and razor sharp productions (on Tommy Four Seven’s 47, among others), and Gaspard de La Montagne, who has been perfecting his sculptural and curiously optimistic vision of techno through his EPs on Creaked. SBR001 is a well-rounded compilation from their inner circle spanning from Grime over Raw House to Techno.

The opening transmission is from La Vie C’est Facile, a colourful and unpredictable, broken-beat cut that fuses elements of instrumental grime and hip-hop with a striking melody and spacious production. Gaspard de La Montagne (as GDLM) takes a more direct approach. His track builds slowly with a swing to the beat, leaving cavernous bass reverberations and stretched out, droning pads to pull you further in.

Isolates Lines’ ‘Lift’ picks up where the A-side left off, mining a similar groove to GDLM’s ‘Larson’ to equally stirring effect. The drums skip around a rubbery bassline as the track phases with sleight of hand progressions. Ockham & Soloporunbesso’s fine contribution brings a Detroit edge to the record, closing it out on the crunch and sci-fi squelches of ‘Hanche’. It ends a bold and neatly-executed EP that promises high quality and signals to the diverse intentions of the label.

Strictly Forbidden is a party concept that combines Art and Fetish to create a unique experience, transforming the Club into an multi-dimensional playpen. With three areas of focus, you decide how to enjoy the night as one aspect does not overpower the other. With the promotion of new/unique sounds, artists, and avenues of expression, Strictly Forbidden aims to present a new concept for each party that represents the diverse Berlin clubbing community and what may come in the future..

Art
Presenting for the first time a pre-party exhibition that begins at 11pm, “Knast im Kopf” aims to promote upcoming local artists in multiple formats. A special cooperation of Goran and Charly Schaller accompanied by all artist will present outward artistic expressions, unlocking the forbidden cells within your minds. Comprising of Experimental Music, Visual Projections, Alternative Fashion Showcase, [anti]antibody and Mask designs, the exhibition will feature multiple performances during the pre-hour and the opportunity for interested ravers to interact and be involved with the art as it is presented to them. After the exhibition, the artists will stage throughout the night mini-showcases that will engage ravers in a passive, yet memorable way. Knast im Kopf is organized by Paroxysm.

Techno
For our third event we bring together a group of Berlin based DJ’s and producers each of which has a strong connection to the local scene. Johnny Island, Vergil, Izzi Bizzi, Forrest Frazier and Jon Snow come together to create a night of growing tension, that escalates with each hour. Each brings their own unique style, so that the sound remains fresh throughout the night.
