After almost a year, LIP016 marks Ferdinger’s return to his own imprint. “Partly Cloudy” features fi ve cuts spanning a wide range of styles and timbres, from UK-infused breakbeat textures to energetic dub and acid techno with a melodic edge. While still fi rmly aimed at the dance fl oor, the record carries a more introspective and inward-looking tone – an attempt to make sense of the current climate in the world and within our societies. “Partly Cloudy” is set for release on 3 April 2026 on vinyl and digital formats.
The A-side of the record is cut “inside-out,” placing the more club-oriented tracks on the outer grooves to preserve high-frequency detail, as tracks closer to the center of a record tend to lose high-frequency content during playback.
