Press Info:
Berghain resident Marcel Fengler is one of the frontmen of raw and forward pushing techno. Judging by his previous three EPs for the label, it’s clear to see how Fengler’s work revolves around a love for tough, angular and edgy tools for the floor. This fourth offering continues the energy with three jacking, factory-forged tracks leading us further down his mysterious path.
Like a hot-headed live jam in a humid Chicago basement, ‘Rapture’ gathers up all the energy of classic house, infuses it with a pacy no-nonsense progression and then throws it into the deepend. Rumbling bass and straight, raw percussion make this a perfectly funky blend of high and low, downstairs and up.
‘RazKaz’ jumps off the platter with nervous intensity as a warbling synth scape massages itself into our consciousness. Heavy percussion underpins this tender fugue with ear-pleasing texture and grit. The track summises that special place in electronic music where unfamiliar melodic elements play on the emotions, warming and provoking thought, while driving the dance instinct ever forward.
The B side carries the deeper voyage that is ‘Enigma’. Droning, melancholic tones swirl organically under the heavy barrage of chattering drums and Fengler’s trademark fizzing hats. A moment of transience, this powerful recording allows for inner reflection while pinning us to the groove devotedly.

…Now here is the second electro-strike….
REIZSTROM are back!
After their debut release last year, singer MeCha and musician Skip Intro are about to release their second album DWARFS LIKE GIANTS to prove that they can uphold or even raise their level. A lot of things happened last year, REIZSTROM could be found on several albums and compilations, including both remixes and original songs and the number of friends and fans increased continuously, so they wanted to live up to their reputation with their second piece of work.
They have remained true to their love of playful and multifaceted songs and claim the term „Synthetic Beat“ for their music because it lies somewhere between electro, synthpop and EBM. There are songs to dance to (The Hurting Light, Paralyzed, The Plague) as well as to dream to (Pathetic) and to think about (Caution, Breakable). Furthermore their good friends NTRSN, DEFENSE MECHANISM, TITANS and LPF12 have done excellent remixes for the album. It’s their stated aim to bring on delicacies that don’t taste like junk food but satisfy the sophisticated sense of taste without being forgotten in the blink of an eye.
DWARFS LIKE GIANTS will again self distributed by the band. The first 100 CD’s are limited and will be released as digipack and if you are not a nostalgic person you will be able to get the album in digital form as well. Now it’s your turn to get excited with this album and to tell the tale REIZSTROM are back to shake the scene again!

Info :
When “X Marks the Pedwalk” first established in 1987 under the former bandname “Scarecrow” with their single “Black Door” no one would have ever imagined which way their musical career would take. Often called the “german Skinny Puppy” the band did set standard in the EBM/Electro world! A true force in innovation and catchy dance songs! Album releases such as “Human Desolation”, “Drawback” or “Meshwork” became true collectors items and are most wanted subjects in the collection of all electro/EBM maniacs! With their single “Seventeen” and the come back album “Inner Zone Journey” Svren Ni-Arb & Raive Yarx returned after a musical break of almost 15 (!) years! Re-releases of cult hits such as “Abattoir”, “Cenotaph” or “Facer” made their way for a great comeback! In cooperation with german concert agency INMOVE we managed to get them together for a unique re-union concert at this year edition of famous german WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN in Leipzig. The stage appearance was filmed with six cameras and cut together to an outstanding documentary of the bands great history! Old and new material mixed together to a nice best of set including their most wanted songs! Together with a nice interview, backstage footage, picture gallery and video-clips for SEVENTEEN and DANGER this DVD turned out as a true must have collectors item! The first visual document by X Marks the Pedwalk in the bands long history! With this DVD you get an inside view to the band as well as great video footage of this breathtaking stage appearance during WGT 2010! A MUST have for OLD and NEW fans of the band!

Info :
Heralded as one of the more interesting newcomers to the underground scene, Lucyʼs refreshing style of intuitive dub techno has found a natural home with Luke Slaterʼs Mote-Evolver label. Having come together earlier this year via Slaterʼs remix of Gmork on Lucyʼs own Stroboscopic Artefacts imprint, this EP for Mote-Evolver showcases Lucyʼs affinity with the darkly elegant and warped atmospheres.
Shrewdly crafted with the intention of creating exhilarated mayhem, “Beautiful People” is a sonic bomb with a long fuse; steadily discharging intense waves of uptight energy before exploding into life via screaming sirens and raw kick drums.
“Falling Empire” blurs the line between techno and electronica as tough, rolling beats contrast starkly against a backdrop of weaving harmonic soundscapes to create a disorientating ambiance that is simultaneously energizing and dreamlike.
“Happiness Is A Prison” is included as a digital bonus, closing out the release neatly by drawing together both functional and abstract flavors evident elsewhere on the record in a marriage of punchy rhythms, abrasive bass and off-kilter keys.
Mute Records, founded by Daniel Miller in 1978, is an independent label again. Eight years ago it was acquired by EMI Group after a long partnership.
Today it was announced that Daniel Miller will continue the Mute brand as a new label including most of the artists. A major part of the back catalogue will be licence back to Mute again. Unfortunately great bands like Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Kraftwerk, White Rabbits and Richard Hawley stay with EMI and leave Mute.
Mute and EMI will also work together in the future as Daniel Miller will be an A&R advisor at EMI and EMI will support Mute in issues like royalty administration and business affairs etc.
