Info:
UK producer Chris Finke announces new label and alias: Bodyjack. As the host of his own radio show for Pulse and as a resident at Atomic Jam – UK’s longest running Techno night, Chris had already proven his versatility in bridging the sonic gap between straight-laced techno and 2-step infused house.

In summer 2012, Chris made a track called “Bodyjack”, combining a funky bassline with classic Dance Mania & Relief samples. He then passed it onto five DJs: Jackmaster, Paul Woolford, Dave Clarke, L-Vis1990 & Rolando whose support motivated him to take the next step. Fast-forward a year and Chris has hooked up with longtime cohort Aidy West from Vinyl Underground to bring Bodyjack to life as a label and as a limited vinyl edition, featuring the title track and an upfront UKG-tinged tune titled “I Wanna Be”.

This is the first in a series of Bodyjack dance floor assaults, pressed loud with extra locked grooves.

Info (English):
It’s hard to believe that “Recovery”, the new concept album by Parralox, sat on the shelf for over two years. Uncertain about releasing an album of iconic cover songs, the band ultimately decided that the production spoke for itself and that the rest of the world and the band’s ever-growing international fan-base deserved to hear Parralox’s unique take on some of electronic pop’s greatest songs. Simply put, “Recovery” is quite easily the best body of work Parralox have put out to date.

With fresh new takes on legendary tracks by Depeche Mode, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, ABBA, Madonna and the hauntingly beautiful “Eye In The Sky” by Alan Parsons Project, Parralox’s “Recovery” continues to carve out a niche for the band in today’s popular music landscape.

“Recovery” also marks an exciting new era for Parralox. In the upcoming months you’ll see the Australian pop duo make a shift to a more diverse electronic pop production house act with specially selected guest appearances from emerging pop vocalists as evidenced by the album’s first single “Silent Morning” which featured guest vocals by Ryan Adames. “Silent Morning” continues to ebb and flow on US club and mixshow DJ playlists and was recently given the remix treatment by the iconic DJ servicing force Ultimix.

At the helm of Parralox’s world-class production remains mastermind producer John von Ahlen of Subterrane Records. John’s commitment to the electronic pop genre is unparalleled and his knowledge and depth of the world of electronica and it’s technologies is second-to-none, a knowledge which clearly shines through on the execution of each and every track on “Recovery”.

Parralox’s next single release will be a Triple A Side EP featuring “Eye In The Sky” / “A Little Respect” / “Somebody” and will be dropping in a few weeks. Parralox is expected to release a new album of brand new original material early 2014 which includes new collaborations and lead single “Crying On The Dancefloor”.

“Recovery” by Parralox is OUT NOW on all leading digital download stores including iTunes and Amazon with a special physical CD with bonus tracks and remixes planned for release through Conzoom Records.

Info:
After last year’s incomparable trio of afterhours, we thought we’d scale down this year’s ADE efforts to deliver one single, yet exceptionally formed EDP party.

On Sat Oct 19 we’ll be taking over our favourite Amsterdam venue, Melkweg, with some cherry-picked techno glitterati – and a host of EDLX roster artists, topped as ever by a set from Speedy J himself. Since premiering his Blackasteroid guise at ADE last year, Bryan Black has been a regular EDP fixture, delivering a killer set at Berghain in April and standout performance at Mysterland in August. Intense barely covers what the former Motor man can do this side of the decks, armed with a potent mix of his own sonic alchemies and slew of serious dancefloor artillery.

Giorgio Gigli is our other EDP regular. After being on the roster since 2011 with his side project, Endless, Gigli finally turned in his first solo production for the label back in June. ‘Inside’ encapsulated all that we’ve come to expect from the Italian veteran: some solid and seriously trippy techno, which he’ll be bringing en force to ADE. And as for our honorary EDLX guests, we have three of today’s most prominent figures completing the line up: US protagonist DVS1, Speedy J’s Zeitgeber collaborator Lucy and local hero ROD, AKA Benny Rodrigues.

Last, but by no means least, Berlin upstarts Sawlin and Subjected round off the bill. As chiefs of Vault Series (together with third member Mørbeck) their modern take on sinewy industrial techno have earned them underground acclaim. It’s not long before everyone will know these names. As for Subjected, let’s just say expect to see more of him around the EDLX camp…

We know you’re spoilt for choice at ADE, but there’s no techno party quite like and EDP party! Save some rave

Info:
Normally an outlet for label chief Subjected and his two conspirators Mørbeck and Sawlin only, Vault Series next breaks its exclusivity with a new offshoot: the Vault Remix Series. For the first edition, the underground imprint—famed for its idiosyncratic blend of raw industrial sounds, shadowy timbres and punishing basslines—taps three contemporary peers for reworks of Subjected’s menacing “005.7”.

On the A-side, Mote-Evoler mainstay Shifted turns in a poised and powerful “Reduction” mix, cleaning off “005.7”’s original rust and clatter to deliver a more sleek and well-oiled machine. Next up Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer turn their Tuff City Kids guise on “005.7”, steering it’s steely hydraulics and caustic edge into warmer house climes with plush chords and crashes.

On the B-side Modularz man Developer brings in his own haunted melody to the table, plied to a cantering beat to utterly transform “005.7” once more. The package closes with Vault Series member Mørbeck taking things right back to their dark and brooding origins. Slashes of synths add a sci-fi edge, matched with those grainy textures and scopey kicks that have come to define the trio’s output on Vault so far.
