Knowledge Recordings is proud to present another young prospect from Cuba, this time in the form of Hioll. As a part of the Abstraction crew alongside Åre:gone, Hioll is aiming to build a strong scene in his hometown. For this release he presents 3 powerful tracks that merges big-room character with hypnotic soundscapes.
Opening track ‘Tunnel’ wastes no time in introducing a heaving kick and bass pattern with rhythmic percussion to lead the way. Rich in texture and atmospherics, a subtle bleep sequence emerges as the track reaches its main break. Thereafter its business as usual as the track ebbs and flows towards its outro. In similar fashion to ‘Tunnel’, title-track ‘Paranormal Activity’ opens with thumping low-end and rhythmic rim-shot percussion. As the track increases in energy, another bleep sequence variation emerges and carries the listener through the rest of the intense, cerebral journey. Closing out the package is ‘Esferas’, a subtler composition that incorporates dub elements and a modulating synth-line with eerie background fx.

Press Info:
S-File delivers his OFF Recordings debut.
Having started his career in 1994 he’s sure to be one of germany’s longest serving techno artists.
The pack kicks off with Escape. A stripped back techno tool with a rolling groove and a spacy sinewave lead.
Down And Out moves into rougher vibes, overdriven drums and a hypnotic acid theme make this a perfect peaktime tool.
Trespass offers a deeper hook, but complements it with energetic and punishing drums.
Finally, Breakaway closes the EP with a galloping synth lead that’s sure to create dancefloor destruction.

Info:
KILLEKILL is a Berlin based company promoting music and events since June 2008. Having grown tired of the monotone offerings of the techno and house scene the city, Nico Deuster decided to take matters into his own hands and founded Killekill, a new club night with the tagline “Kill Your Boredom”.
Based out of Berghain Kantine, the ominous towering of the ex-power plant set the perfect scene for what was to come. Experimental live electronics, mesmerizing visuals and distinctive artwork by Flexn followed a staunchly taste-driven approach to bookings. Determined to avoid the marketing hype tactics employed by the music industry, the Killekill crew prioritised music standards over commercial success – forging their place as one of the leading promoters in town.
Fueled by success, the night divided and multiplied. Over the following years they spun up several new nights that first-ever put significant sounds within the techno spectrum on the Berlin map. They single-handedly disrupted the sound of the city: Killekill: Acid ist Fertig, Electrix, Summer Camp, and Ghetto House Special are events all followed amongst others, not least the mighty Krake Festival — a multidisciplinary one week event in the heart of the city.
If these club nights sought to disrupt the sound of the city, Killekill Records was the perfect sound track. With a plethora of releases from artists including Lakker, The Mover, Dez Williams, Kamikaze Space Programme, Bill Youngman, Alex Cortex, Eomac, Umwelt, Cassegrain & Tin Man, their label has garnered support across the globe and continues to do so with its various offshoots: Vanta, Boidae, Killekill House Trax and Death by Rainbow.
2018 marking their 10th anniversary, Killekill is due to unfold a series of events that highlight their love for things new and old – merging the past and future. Next to the compilation featuring tracks by the likes of MMM, The Horrorist, The Mover, Neil Landstrumm and Swarm Intelligence a club tour across Europe is on the cards.
The last week of July centers around Krake Festival in three selected Berlin venues, raising musical diversity with performances by Paula Temple, Tim Exile, JK Flesh, Mary Ocher and more to be announced.
On top of that, the crew maintains their social engagement by initiating the project ‘Ick Mach Welle!’ in cooperation with Lebenshilfe Berlin e.V., a music workshop that aims to increase the inclusion of people with disabilities into the electronic music scene.
Remaining dedicated to their sonic investigations, KILLEKILL is on a mission to uncover the previously unknown, following a jagged path, deep into uncharted sonic territory, whether it’s techno, acid, electro, punk or abstract electronica.

Press Info (English):
Strictly Forbidden is a multi-dimensional experience, bringing together artists from different backgrounds, and encourages them to come together for free artistic expression through collaboration. Strictly Forbidden aims to reconstruct the traditional queer and hedonistic atmosphere of techno events, by providing contrasts in performances meant to challenge both artist and club-goer.
The intention is to make the guest a part of our family, to realize that not everything that is not immediately understood is condemned – Hence the name Strictly Forbidden. The party experience is an artistically profound experience driven by social improvement & intentions. Mancheck also commits itself to our safe-party concept providing relevant information and extra awareness so that club-goers feel safe and open as they experience Berlin club culture.
Strictly Forbidden only books local DJ’s to provide a platform for local / rising talent and to add to the family atmosphere of our nights. Through both audio-visual experiences, the floor retains an exceptional environment that cannot be replicated along with a newly designed light show that will showcase Arena Club like never before.
The combination of hedonism, rave and art culture attracts a wide audience range, and as such promotes coexistence.
