Info:
From the dark side of techno to the wild side of electro, the debut D-R-U-N-K release “Ghetto” pushes all sound barriers & is a cutting edge 5 track “noir modern” EP that’s extremely dangerous for conventional ears… out on Fred Gien (Citizen Records) new label, Police Records, on June 25 2012.

With early support from Fukkk Offf, Modek, T Raumschmiere, NYC’s Larry Tee and Mr. Jones, the Ghetto EP is guaranteed to be spinning in the best techno clubs worldwide.

D-R-U-N-K is the new solo project of French contemporary sound innovator, Oly Grasset, better known as the mastermind behind the industrial techno duo MOTOR (CLR/Novamute/Dim Mak/Shitkatapult).

Since starting D-R-U-N-K in November 2011, Oly has been busy writing, producing and remixed/collaborated with The Micronauts, Marseille, Super Super, Eskimo Twins, Volatile, Monsters of Rave, DoctR, Franz & Shape, Dr Trashz, & Mekon, with more releases and remixes scheduled for this year.

Meanwhile, the recent MOTOR (CLR/Novamute/Dim Mak/Shitkatapult) album “Man Made Machine” has received a lot of attention from the music industry. The reaction to the first single that features vocals from Martin Gore of Depeche Mode, created a huge buzz among both Motor and Depeche Mode fans, plus the international music press. The album remixes that include Chris Liebing, Radio Slave and Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems DNA Interpretation, have also found themselves high in both the Techno and Tech House charts.

LAB MONKEY: High on experimental drugs and out of control, D-R-U-N-K’s unforgettable Lab Monkey evokes the sounds of distressed caged victims of the chemistry set.

GHETTO: Eerie, brittle and dangerous, D-R-U-N-K captures the soul of life in the ghetto, with sounds that evoke compressed emotions and built up tension.

HOOKER: Hooker is a wistful dreamy hypnotic pulse that brazenly smarts at the click of a stiletto heel and the mumbled repeat of “How Much?” This is club music for the ladies of the night.

5AM: As the Sunday morning comedown sets in, D-R-U-N-K offers the perfect soundtrack to a bombed-out dawn driving down the MDMA road to nowhere.

ILLUMINAZI: Disturbing yet humourous, a track with the message “IllumiNAZI – please stop it” combined with the stumbling, out-of-time piano, can best be described as a musical work of art.

SEXVOX: Dubstep bass on a 4/4 techno beat; Sexvox purrs an erotic sultry groove that’s perfect for both the club and the bedroom.
